Have I told you exactly how I feel about Taylor Hyundai in Perrysburg, Ohio?
Let me first start by saying that I have purchased three vehicles from them over the course of six years. I’m a loyal customer. I expect a lot from a salesman as I intentionally give them a hard time with my demands and attitude. This review of Taylor Hyundai is from a serious and honest customer who is not getting paid to say anything. I am not an affiliate with this dealership.
Before I give my review of Taylor Hyundai, here’s a bit of history:
My first taste of a Korean vehicle was when I bought a Kia Sedona mini-van. I loved that van. We lived in Montgomery, Alabama at the time but shortly thereafter moved to Ohio. We bought the van because my then husband was active duty Air Force. He was gone a lot and I needed a reliable vehicle with an amazing warranty. Kia was first on the list.
The kids were little, and it was nice having the cargo space. The van was a light green and was perfect for our family. It lasted forever, we drove it everywhere and even moved a U-Haul trailer with it. It never gave us any trouble. We sold it to another young family and as far as I know, they are still driving it. If you are in the market for a minivan for your family, I recommend looking at a Kia Sedona.
Back to my review of Taylor Hyundai.
Fast forward to 2012 and we walked onto the Taylor Hyundai lot in Perrysburg. I traded a 2009 Chevy Impala for a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. It was the first of its breed. If I’m being completely honest, I never really liked that car. The passenger seat did not adjust up and down and it always felt like I was riding on the floor. I’m not a very tall person and when I drove the car, it was fine. The driver’s seat adjusted up and down. I could see out and felt comfortable. That car did not get the gas mileage promised but Hyundai Corp. compensated with a monthly gas credit.
The following year I walked back onto the Taylor Hyundai lot in Perrysburg.
This time I bought a 2012 Santa Fe. This is the vehicle I currently drive. I love this SUV. It is a perfect size. It has never given me any issues. I give it love and it loves me back. It will be a sad day when I finally trade it in for a newer model. Although, the newer Santa Fe’s are bigger and have three rows of seats. I have no need for this feature.
Another year goes by and my oldest daughter learns how to drive and needs a car for college. Yes, college at 16 (technically 13 but that’s another story). We gave her the Sonata to drive. It’s a great little car for the college-bound driver.
I once again headed back to Taylor Hyundai to purchase another vehicle. This time, it was a 2013 Elantra GT. This is a super-cool car that is fun to drive. It’s sporty looking without the sporty price. The car was for my husband who loved it. It is still running and in fact, my daughter’s boyfriend bought it and loves it as well.
With each visit to Taylor Hyundai, we were greeted with a smile and a handshake.
One salesperson, Sean O’Connor (who no longer works there) became a friend to my husband. He was always honest and gave us the best deal possible. He was available to answer questions by phone anytime we needed him. I can still Facebook message him if I have a question about buying cars.
The Taylor Hyundai dealership in Perrysburg, Ohio is a clean place with professional employees.
The reason I am sharing this review of Taylor Hyundai with you is that my family recently dealt with a bit of a crisis: The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid broke down. Very sad. My daughter was driving home from work and the transmission went out. It just stopped working. There are only 70k miles on it. We had it towed to Taylor Hyundai in Perrysburg. James, the service professional worked with us diligently.
Because the car is no longer in my name the warranty is void. James worked tirelessly to get us the help we needed. You see, we were facing a $4,000 bill on a car that is only worth $5,000. My daughter is a college student and I’m a single mom of two. My anxiety hit the roof.
As a family, we were quite upset for two days. However, we found out that James’ work paid off. Hyundai Corp. paid for the cost of the new transmission and we only had to pay the labor costs. Rather than a $4000 bill, our bill was $1500. (and some change)
So, how do I feel about Taylor Hyundai in Perrysburg, Ohio?
The next time I need a car, I will go there. I highly recommend this dealership the next time you are interested in a purchase. Their customer service is above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. The vehicles are amazing, reliable, and fun to drive. The dealership is clean and comfortable, not to mention conveniently located. My review of Taylor Hyundai in Perrysburg is unbiased. It is unsolicited and I’m not getting paid to say such nice things. I really do like this dealership. As a blogger I felt that is was my job to give them a shout out for a job well done in our community.
